As I watched the riots on London's streets, the mindless looting, buildings burning, and violence escalating I realized again "A mob is a monster with many hands and no brains!!!"

People react to mob devastation with stupid responses, giving reasons for brainless vandalism while avoiding the mention of SIN and HUMAN DEPRAVITY!!! Politically BLIND!!!!

‎Our Lord Jesus Christ was the only man born pure into this world: the only one over whom the devil had no power from the time of His physical birth. He was therefore qualified to be the spotless Lamb of God Who taketh away the sins of the world.

Now every man is redeemable because of the infinite mercy and love of God shown in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ!!! GLORY!!!

It needs then to be carefully defined what is meant by the word "mortify." Since it does not signify "slay or extinguish indwelling sin" nor "render lifeless your lusts," what is intended? This: die unto them in your affections, your intentions, your resolutions, your efforts.

We mortify sin by detesting it: "whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer" (1 John 3:15) and just so far as we really hate our corruptions have we morally slain them. The Christian evidences his hatred of sin by mourning when it has gained an advantage over him.

If it be his sincere intention and honest resolution to subdue every rising of his native depravity and the commission of every sin, then in the sight of Him who accepts the will for the deed, he has "mortified" them. Whenever the believer contritely confesses his sins to God and "forsakes" them so far as any purpose to repeat them is concerned, he has "mortified" them. If he truly loathes, grieves over, and acknowledges his failures to God, then he can say, "that which I do, I allow not" (Rom. 7:15)."

Most of us (Christians) will act first without consulting God - And then later when calamity hits, we ask God "why did this happen?" - which God will reply; you should of asked me in the beginning "not at the end"!!

Temptations must come

While we are on this side of eternity, temptations must come; and, no doubt, "Satan has asked to sift all of us as wheat." But why should we fear? For He that is for us, is by far more powerful, than all that are against us. Jesus Christ, our great High Priest, is exalted to the right hand of God, and there sits to make intercession for us, that our faith will not fail. (Satan's Schemes by George Whitefield)

If we be converted

So, if we are converted, if the grace of God be really in our hearts, my dear friends, however we may have thought of ourselves once, whatever were our former high exalted imaginations; yet we shall now be sensible of our weakness; we shall no more say, "We are rich and increased with goods, and lack nothing;" we shall be inwardly poor; we shall feel "that we are poor, miserable, blind, and naked."

And as a little child gives up its hand to be guided by a parent or a nurse, so those who are truly converted, and are real Christians, will give up the heart, their understandings, their wills, their affections, to be guided by the word, providence, and the Spirit of the Lord. Hence it is, that the Apostle, speaking of the sons of God, says, "As many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are (and to be sure he means they only are) the sons of God."

Indwelling sin

There are definite seasons of growth, and generally the Christian's spiritual graces are growing the most while the soul is in distress through manifold temptations, mourning on account of indwelling sin. It is when we are enjoying God and are in conscious communion with Him, feasting upon the perfections of Christ, that the fruits of the Spirit in us are ripened.

Restore Compassion

The Lord Loves YOU

Jesus looked at his disciples, who were rather frightened and told them they need not be afraid. "Even the very hairs of your head are all numbered." [Luke:12v7]

He knows you and loves you, he has counted the very hairs of your head. If you are in Christ, there is nothing that can happen to you apart from God.

Pascal: "Men never do evil so completely and cheerfully as when they do it from religious conviction."

It is a shame on the church that the self-righteous bigots in "religious" setups preach love while they practice hate. The gospel is about restoration, forgiveness, and healing.

False religion shall come to nothing

The Huguenots were members of the Protestant Reformed Church of France (or French Calvinists) from the sixteenth to the seventeenth centuries. Since the seventeenth century, Huguenots have been commonly designated "French Protestants," the title being suggested by their German co-religionists or "Calvinists." Protestants in France were inspired by the writings of John Calvin in the 1530s and the name Huguenots was already in use by the 1560s. By the end of the 17th century, roughly 200,000 Huguenots had been driven from France during a series of religious persecutions. BISHOP Michael Reid has narrowly escaped death after suffering a heart attack, which he claims was caused by stress after three years of "appalling" treatment by his former church.

The 67-year-old, who was allegedly "sacked" from the Peniel Church – now Trinity – in 2008 after admitting to an affair with a member of the church staff, collapsed at his home in Coxtie Green Road on April 16.

Now under orders to rest for at least one month, the preacher has pointed the finger at his former colleagues, who he claims have tried to harass him and his wife out of their home, just two doors from the place of worship.

He also believes that discovering his wife Ruth had been diagnosed with a life-threatening disease around the same time was partly responsible.

He said: "My mother had a quadruple heart bypass so there may be a genetic link but the stress of the last three years has had an effect on my physical being, which is appalling really, the way they have treated my wife and I.

"I need to let my body recover, which means take it easy for a month.

"I need to take medication to keep my blood thin which is normal when you have a heart attack and they gave me a diet which I am keeping to."

The non-smoker claims to have been in an ongoing battle with Trinity Church leaders who he says are trying to evict him and his wife from Testimony House, where they have lived since 1992.

Although the property is owned by the church, he claims trustees are reneging on an agreement that they could live there for the rest of their lives.

But despite the health scare and the news that Ruth is suffering from a serious illness, Mr Reid has no intention of moving away from his "enemies".

He said: "I am not a man who ever leaves a battlefield.

"They'll have to bury me, which they won't, I'll attend their funeral, they won't attend mine.

"This is my area, it's not theirs, it's mine.

"I expect to make a full recovery and have another 20 years of living to prove my enemies wrong."

A house guest of the former minister, Adrian Simmons, responded to a plea from Mr Reid to get help after he began feeling unwell.

A first responder arrived within minutes, followed shortly by an ambulance crew. They resuscitated the bishop, who had reportedly stopped breathing for more than a minute at one point.

Following another attack while in transit, the medics changed their planned route to Basildon Hospital for Queen's Hospital in Romford to save time.

Early on Sunday, Mr Reid was transferred to the London Chest Hospital in Bethnal Green before moving to Basildon, where he spent four days recovering.

Shortly after being discharged, Mr Reid suffered a relapse, forcing him to return to hospital for a short time.
