Bishop narrowly escaped death after suffering a heart attack

BISHOP Michael Reid has narrowly escaped death after suffering a heart attack, which he claims was caused by stress after three years of "appalling" treatment by his former church.

The 67-year-old, who was allegedly "sacked" from the Peniel Church – now Trinity – in 2008 after admitting to an affair with a member of the church staff, collapsed at his home in Coxtie Green Road on April 16.

Now under orders to rest for at least one month, the preacher has pointed the finger at his former colleagues, who he claims have tried to harass him and his wife out of their home, just two doors from the place of worship.

He also believes that discovering his wife Ruth had been diagnosed with a life-threatening disease around the same time was partly responsible.

He said: "My mother had a quadruple heart bypass so there may be a genetic link but the stress of the last three years has had an effect on my physical being, which is appalling really, the way they have treated my wife and I.

"I need to let my body recover, which means take it easy for a month.

"I need to take medication to keep my blood thin which is normal when you have a heart attack and they gave me a diet which I am keeping to."

The non-smoker claims to have been in an ongoing battle with Trinity Church leaders who he says are trying to evict him and his wife from Testimony House, where they have lived since 1992.

Although the property is owned by the church, he claims trustees are reneging on an agreement that they could live there for the rest of their lives.

But despite the health scare and the news that Ruth is suffering from a serious illness, Mr Reid has no intention of moving away from his "enemies".

He said: "I am not a man who ever leaves a battlefield.

"They'll have to bury me, which they won't, I'll attend their funeral, they won't attend mine.

"This is my area, it's not theirs, it's mine.

"I expect to make a full recovery and have another 20 years of living to prove my enemies wrong."

A house guest of the former minister, Adrian Simmons, responded to a plea from Mr Reid to get help after he began feeling unwell.

A first responder arrived within minutes, followed shortly by an ambulance crew. They resuscitated the bishop, who had reportedly stopped breathing for more than a minute at one point.

Following another attack while in transit, the medics changed their planned route to Basildon Hospital for Queen's Hospital in Romford to save time.

Early on Sunday, Mr Reid was transferred to the London Chest Hospital in Bethnal Green before moving to Basildon, where he spent four days recovering.

Shortly after being discharged, Mr Reid suffered a relapse, forcing him to return to hospital for a short time.

Nothing will thwart His purposes

Who can try to restrain God? The Most High.."doeth according to His will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay His hand, or say unto Him, what doest thou?" (Dan:4v35).

So often people forget the Lord is in total control of EVERYTHING, and orders all things after the counsel of His Own Will. Nothing will thwart His purposes!!! GLORY TO GOD!!!

Judgment and Hell's existence

"It is useless for the sheep to pass resolutions in favor of vegetarianism while the wolf remains of a different opinion." Extolling only Christian values while ignoring the militant worldly decadence is futile, we must also stand against lies of the devil and warn people of God's coming judgment and Hell's existence.

Don't get mad at this, just look how often Jesus spoke of Hell and warned people to flee from the wrath to come!!! Time to awake and reach out to this sin-sick world with the balanced truth of the Gospel, turning people from darkness to Light!!!

Prophecies for Peniel Church (Michael Reid Ministries)

In 1995 Peniel Church Brentwood celebrated their 20th Anniversary.

It was a memorable occasion with the Archbishop Benson Idahosa who on behalf of the congregation, presented a gift for the founders (Bishop Michael Reid & Dr Ruth Reid) for their 20 years of service to Peniel Church Brentwood.



This video is a time capsule full of prophecies for Peniel's future. One being that Mr Idahosa was instructed by God to tell Peniel Church (on the day of their 20th anniversary - 1995) that in 20 years time the people would be at a different location.

God is with His people and has been faithful to the founders of the work!! We give glory to God for His faithfulness and we will continue to do what the Archbishop told us to do which is "increase, increase, increase and "NOT" to diminished!!

Miracle of Jesus Christ VS Advertising Standards Authority

David Gregg suffered from a crippling disease which made it difficult for him to stand or walk. However; all this was about to change when Bishop Michael Reid told David to stand up to receive prayer, God did a miracle, healing David completely of his painful disease.

The Church decided to advertise the Miracle of God which brought "skeptical" media attraction, which led to a compliant to the "Advertising Standards Authority".

Local TV News filmed David Gregg working in his new business lifting and repairing electrical appliances, which was something David found difficult to do before his miracle.

Warning's to Politicians

God is working out His purposes around the world and He will throw down any power that seeks to subvert His Will in these days. Politicians should be careful not to meddle in things they don't understand, or they will find themselves opposing the Lord's purposes and He will cast them aside!!!

When politicians play God and think they can control the worlds destiny they should remember the Lord God Almighty raises up whom He Will to perform His purposes, and He just as rapidly retires them. GLORY!!!!

Saddam's Secrets

On January 24, 2006, George Sada (A Christian) announced the publication of a book he had written entitled Saddam's Secrets: How an Iraqi General defied and survived Saddam Hussein, with the tagline "An insider exposes plans to destroy Israel, hide WMDs and control the Arab world."

Sada, the former Air Vice-Marshal under Hussein, appeared the following day on Fox News' Hannity & Colmes, where he discussed his book and reported that other pilots told him that Hussein had ordered them to fly portions of the WMD stockpiles to Damascus in Syria just prior to the 2003 Invasion of Iraq.

Seeker friendly churches...?

"Hear the word I speak and give them warning from me.
